a brief, brief interlude
Writing a very short update, primarily to share that my essay in response to Stuck in Saṃsāra, curated by Brent Nakamoto, is published! I am extremely grateful to Brent for trusting me with this and for his feedback on my drafts, as well as Bunker Projects for the opportunity and copy-editing.
In truth, I had a pretty difficult time writing this. There were many, many things I wanted to say, more emotions I intended to convey, but knew I had limited space and also needed to make the whole thing flow in a legible way. And to not make it a personal journal entry (ha). But I do hope that it resonates with some people—I know many of us are feeling very angry right now and perhaps have been for a long time.
You can read the full review here. The exhibition is up at Bunker Projects through March 22nd, and I would really encourage anyone local to Pittsburgh to take a walk through if you haven’t already.
I also want to thank everyone who came out to my talk at the last Silver Eye Salon! I’m always nervous that no one will show up to these things, but we had a good group of around 15 people and an engaging conversation. Shout out to Cole, Michael, and Lia for also sharing their work! And shout out to the printer gods for actually letting my printer work without any issues after not using it for a couple months (truly unheard of) :)
And finally, sharing a couple photos of the wonkiest fire horse that I made during my glass class. I started making this after only three class sessions and was extremely overambitious with it, but ultimately I like her and she’s very cute if you don’t look too closely. I’m excited to start experimenting more with what I’ve been intending to make with glass as a means to incorporate it into my larger practice. More on that soon!
Thank you, as always, for reading and for the continued support. Things have been quite the roller coaster in 2026 and I am grateful and appreciative to my community <3
xx
